On this tour you will see elephant seals and Gentoo penguins in their natural habitat. This popular tour takes you to the east coast of East Falkland, and some 35 miles from Stanley, the capital. Once arriving at Whale Point you will observe how these great elephant seals can be seen sleeping on the beach or on the green wasteland. These beauties are not easily disturbed, so you will be able to see them up close; they will not harm you. The long white sandy beach is littered with the remains of whale bone skeletons. On this trip you will also see a colony of the second largest penguin in the Falkland Islands, the Gentoo penguin. We will complete the tour at the Historic Dockyard Museum, where you will be given your entrance bracelet. Here you will be able to see the history of the Falklands at its best.
Recommendation: A warm jacket, layered clothing and sturdy walking shoes. A camera and binoculars will be helpful for seeing seals further out on the beach.
Included in this tour: Snack and water, museum entrance and information pack.
